61 Foundation Is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve socio-economic welfare as well as addressing governance issues which are critical to country’s development.

‘61’ simply represents the year which our country got independence, so we have named our foundation after our country’s year of independence.

Our slogan “Us for Them” simply implies that only few of us have been able to be educated enough that majority of Tanzanians are not, so we advocate to use our expertise and resources to help our colleagues

The organization is based in Dar es Salaam, but works for projects at the national level for its own projects and in partnerships.
